Everyone! We celebrate every person who walks through our doors.

Where is Rare located?

In the Pacific building at Bondi Beach: Level 1/180 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach NSW 2026, Australia

  • From Campbell Parade: Walk into the Pacific (follow the signs for Woolworths) and go straight up the stairs. The studio entrance in on the left hand side at the top of the stairs.
  • From Gould Street: Put Saturdays NYC on your right and Will & Co coffee on your left. Walk into the driveway and across the courtyard with the big trees. The studio entrance is to the right of the stairs.

What are your opening hours?

We open 15 minutes before our first class (approx 5.45am). We close 15 minutes after our last class (approx 9.15pm). Double check the studio schedule here for live class times.

How can I contact the studio?

Please email hello@rarestudiosau.com or get in touch via the Rare MBO app.

Do I have to book into class?

Yes, bookings are essential. Classes can be booked up to 7 days in advance via the Rare MBO app or at rarestudiosau.com/classes.

Where can I download the Rare app?

  • Via Android Google Play or the Apple App Store (add links)
  • Download our app to check out the schedule, and book into classes and workshops. Classes and reminders will automatically be added to your calendar.

What should I wear to class?

Light, clean, comfortable clothing that allows you to move.

What should I bring to class?

Yourself! A yoga mat, blocks, straps and a face towel (if you get sweaty) are all provided.

Can I leave early?

If nature calls please exit and re-enter the class mindfully to avoid disturbing other students.

If you have sustained an injury or have a medical situation please let your teacher know immediately, otherwise respect your fellow yogis by staying until the end of class.

The class I want to attend is fully booked. How does the waitlist work?

Places regularly come up in classes that are fully booked. Add yourself to the Waitlist via the Schedule. If a place becomes available you will receive an SMS/email, where you will need to promptly respond Y to reserve your place or N to pass it on to the next person on the waitlist.

The app shows what number you are on the Waitlist OR a tick when you have been added to your desired class. Please treat the Waitlist like you were booking into a class. If you no longer want to attend please take yourself off the waitlist.

Can I come to class while I’m pregnant?

If you have consulted your doctor –  and have no medical conditions that will be exacerbated by yoga – you are welcome in class.

Please let your yoga teacher know that you are pregnant so they can provide modifications and guidance as your pregnancy progresses. Most importantly – listen to your body. If you feel faint, dizzy or not quite right, please stop and inform your teacher.

Which classes should I attend? If you are pregnant and new to yoga we recommend starting with Foundations and Yin classes. If you are an experienced yogi, explore Flow, Foundations and Yin.

Can I come to class if I’m injured?

Please consult your doctor before coming to the studio. If it is safe for you to practice please let your yoga teacher know before class so they can provide safe modifications where possible. Please be aware that our teachers are not medical professionals and are not qualified to diagnose or treat injuries or illness.

Are your yoga classes heated?

All Rare yoga classes will be set at a warm room temperature. It won’t be freezing cold and blasting with AC, nor will we have heat panels at 30+ degrees. There will be a happy medium for us to be warm, move our bodies and naturally work up a sweat. We like to say you’ll walk in and it’ll feel like a “warm hug.”

How do I get to Rare?

Walk, bike, swim…if you’re coming from outside Bondi we highly recommend the 333 bus from the city or Bondi Junction.

Driving? Bondi has limited free and metered parking available in the streets around the studio, and in the carpark opposite the beach. Allow ample time for traffic and always check the parking restriction signs before leaving your car as fines are significant.

Parking is also available below the studio in the Pacific building carpark. Free for 33 minutes, $10/hour after.

What should I wear to class?

Light, clean, comfortable clothing that allows you to move.

What should I bring to class?

Your yoga mat and a small face towel if you get sweaty. Come properly hydrated and bring water for after class. Blocks and straps are provided.

Can I rent a yoga mat?

Yes. Yoga mats are available for rent at our reception.

What should I do when I get to the studio?

Book into class via our app or website (insert links). Arrive 15 minutes before class so you have time to get settled. Introduce yourself to your teacher at reception. They will check you in, show you the bathrooms, lockers for your bag, and direct you to the yoga room. Roll out your mat, place two blocks in the front corners, and relax.

Can I bring my phone and bag into class?

No. Please switch your phone, and any other wearables, to do-not disturb or airplane mode. Put them in your bag and stow them in a secure cubby hole or locker.

Our yoga training is led by Rare co-founder and master teacher Noelle Connolly, ensuring our graduates are empowered with the tools to expand their personal practice, and the skills to lead classes with intelligence and compassion.

Where does training take place?

Rare Yoga Training is held at our dedicated space at Bondi Pavilion, opposite the iconic Bondi Beach and across the street from Rare studio.

Is training in person or online?

Training takes place in person, in a supportive group setting and with real-time feedback from our highly qualified teaching team. Our 200 Hour Yoga Training contains 20 hours of online training.

I want to learn more about yoga and progress my practice. Which training should I take?

Rare 200 Hour Yoga Training will guide you through the history, philosophy and practical application of yoga. Each morning we begin with a challenging and inspiring physical practice, before gathering for lectures, discussion, and hands-on training. Experienced students are also welcome to join our 50 and 25 hour trainings, which focus on specific elements of yoga including sequencing, energetics, yin, pre and post natal, mantra, assisting, and more.

I want to be a yoga teacher. Which training should I take?

Rare 200 Hour Yoga Training is the first step on the pathway to becoming an accredited yoga teacher. You will explore the history and philosophy of yoga, and gain the practical skills and knowledge to teach yoga classes of all levels.

Experienced yoga students teachers are also welcome to join our 50 and 25 hour trainings, which focus on specific elements of yoga including sequencing, energetics, yin, pre and post natal, mantra, assisting, and more.

I’m a yoga teacher and want to learn more. Which training should I take?

Our 50 and 25 Hour trainings offer yoga teachers the opportunity to deepen their understanding of specific elements of yoga and develop their teaching skills, under the guidance of our highly trained teaching team.

What will I learn in Rare 200 Hour Yoga Training?

We will explore the eight limbs of yoga, examine history and philosophy, discuss key texts, study anatomy and physiology, practice meditation and pranayama, sequencing and language, and more.

Are payment plans available?

Flexible payment plans are available for 200HR trainings after you’ve made your initial deposit.

If you're interested in a payment plan, please contact us and we'll be happy to work with you to create a plan that fits your needs. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and grow, and we're committed to making our trainings as accessible as possible.

Can I join if I can't attend some of the dates?

We understand that life can be unpredictable and you may miss some training sessions. According to Yoga Alliance, you must attend a certain amount of hours for specific elements like asana labs or practice, and theory or assessment sessions cannot be missed. We will help connect you with a relevant teacher for a make-up session if needed, but the cost will be paid directly to the teacher. We are here to support you throughout the process, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
