Join Rachael Coopes for The Heart of Yoga, a comprehensive study of yoga philosophy and its practical application in everyday life.
Most modern students of yoga come to the practice through asana (movement), unaware of the philosophy and mythology which forms the foundation of the practice. Profoundly spiritual, yoga acts as a guide to the self – showing us how we can transform our lives in order to intelligently serve the world around us.
This 50 hour training for yoga students and teachers will dissect key yogic texts and concepts including The Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Yoga Sutras and mythology. We will explore their themes, find the tools needed to change ourselves and our world, and form more meaningful connections with those around us.
These fundamental concepts will make you a better friend, partner, parent and leader, bringing yoga to where it is most needed - off the yoga mat.
Who is it for?
Anyone hungry to explore yoga philosophy as a practice of compassionate self awareness, and understand its practical application at home, work, school, studio and beyond.
Accreditation
This 50-hour training is certified by Yoga Australia and will award graduates with 50 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points.
